DAVID ERRINGTON, President & CEO

David Errington has over 20 years of broadcast experience, 12 of which were spent at The Score in various capacities, such as: Executive Vice President and Co-Chief Operating Officer at Score Media, where he was responsible for programming, sales, marketing and all technical operations across all Score Media assets, including broadcast, broadband, satellite radio and mobile. He was also responsible for the implementation and execution of a technical rebuild of Score Television Network over to high definition broadcast standards. He managed the development of Score.com to a social media site targeted to sports enthusiasts and assisted in the development and execution of Score Mobile applications that are now available on all major wireless telcos across Canada.
 
In his almost two years as AMI President and CEO, Errington has led a committed senior management team, staff and dedicated Volunteers to a series of accomplishments. They include:
 
  • Launching a new strategic vision and plan
  • Updating and upgrading our broadcast infrastructure
  • Modernizing offices across the country featuring greater accessibility and employment opportunities for people with disabilities
  • Expanding regional and local coverage across Canada
  • Improving programming on AMI-tv and AMI-audio

 

JOHN MELVILLE, VP, Programming & Production

John Melville is an accomplished broadcast professional with over 20 years experience in radio and television production environments.  He has materially participated in the launch of the sports/talk format in Canadian radio and television, working with the FAN 590 and CHUM radio as well as The Score Television Network, directing programming, production and operations. Most recently, John led the programming team at XM Satellite Radio Canada during their 2005 Canadian launch, developing 13 originally produced channels of news, sports, comedy and music.  John holds a degree in Communications from Carleton University and a Honours Certificate in Radio Broadcasting from Humber College.

TERRY REID, VP, Human Resources

Terry Reid is a Human Resources professional with over 25 years in H.R.  Her career has been primarily in the services sector, in both for profit and not-for-profit organizations.  She has held both senior specialist roles, Director of Compensation & Benefits of a large health care organization, and generalist roles, Director of HR for a large law firm as well as Director of HR for a prominent arts organization.  Terry is a Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP), and a long-time member of the Human Resources Professional Association of Ontario.

Peter Burke has over twenty years of marketing, media and advertising experience having held leadership positions for a number of tier one agency’s in Canada. Prior to joining AMI, Peter served as the Group General Manager for the Business Ventures division of Torstar. In that capacity he was the Publisher of Eye Weekly, Real Estate News and New Dreamhomes magazine, and led the start-up of several print brands. In addition he oversaw the operations of Torstar Distribution Services.  Peter holds an Honours Degree in Political Science from the University of Western Ontario. He is a former Board member of the Foundation Fighting Blindness, the Print Measurement Bureau and the Canadian Media Directors Council.​

Joanne Kerr, VP, Technology Services

Joanne Kerr is an experienced information technology professional with over 20 years experience in various technology leadership roles.  She has extensive experience is start- up organizations such as Bell ExpressVu, XM Radio and Canadian Telecommunication Group.  While at Bell ExpressVu she implemented new technologies in support of Pay-Per-View and working with Bell Canada assisted with the service trials using Very-high-bit rate Digital Subscriber Line (VDSL) technology (today's Fibe TV) as a means to provide video services targeted at condominiums.   She also is a former Advisory Chair for Microskill’s Women’s Technology Institute. Joanne has also had senior educational sector positions as Director of IT at Havergal and Devry Institute of Technology as well as Dean of Computer Information Systems at Devry's Toronto campus.  Joanne holds a degree in Computer Science from the University of Toronto.​​
