About AMI-audio
AMI-audio is the world’s largest broadcast reading service making local,
national and international news and information accessible. Daily, our
volunteers read and record current articles from leading newspapers and
magazines, which are broadcast on TV and online into more than 10 million
Canadians homes. Together, our staff and volunteers produce and broadcast
more than 125 hours of new programming every week.
Our Programming
Most of AMI-audio's national service consists of verbatim readings of
current articles from newspapers and magazines packaged into topical
segments, usually of 30 minutes in duration. For example: The National
Report — the day's headline news stories — airs weekday mornings. Business,
sports, health and science, lifestyles and leisure, regional news and
old-time radio shows are included in the program line-up.
Testimonials
"Before I found VoicePrint I was getting access to newspapers, magazines and
other materials through friends and family. I now have a much more
independent way of accessing information."

"I am totally blind...I like the weekend
programming...and BC Profile and Atlantic Afternoon, especially because I
have a great grandmother who lives in Newfoundland."
