Submit your community event

If you have a community event in your neighbourhood that you'd like to share with us, please email thisweek@ami.ca. Kindly submit information at least one month prior to the event and be sure to include all pertinent information including date, time, location, web address and a contact name and email/phone number. While we can't promise to list every event that is submitted to us, we will do our best to post as many as possible. Thank you!

Passion Connected: Free Public Screening

Join AMI as we host a free public screening of the original documentary Passion Connected - exploring the 2018 Paralympic Winter Games!

The screening will be held Monday, May 7 at the Miles Nadal Jewish Community Centre (Bloor and Spadina) beginning at 7:30 p.m. Seating will be on a first come first served basis and complimentary refreshments will be provided. The documentary is accessible with Integrated Described Video and Closed Captioning and the theatre space is wheelchair accessible.

Following the screening there will be a Q & A session with the makers of the documentary and Paralympians Mac Marcoux and Tyrone Henry.

Vision Quest Toronto

The FFB’s educational series will come to Toronto with a Speaker Series focused on cutting-edge vision treatments and sight-saving research. The event will feature Dr. Elise Heon, Dr. Johane Robitaille, and Dr. Kevin Gregory-Evans, who will deliver presentations on Emerging Therapies for Inherited Retinal Diseases (IRD) and share insights into their vision research.
