Submit your community event

If you have a community event in your neighbourhood that you'd like to share with us, please email thisweek@ami.ca. Kindly submit information at least one month prior to the event and be sure to include all pertinent information including date, time, location, web address and a contact name and email/phone number. While we can't promise to list every event that is submitted to us, we will do our best to post as many as possible. Thank you!

14th Annual PuSh International Performing Arts Festival

The PuSh International Performing Arts Festival is one of Vancouver’s signature events. Produced over three weeks each January, the PuSh Festival presents groundbreaking work in the live performing arts. In 2018 the festival will once again partner with VocalEye to produce live described performances which are accessible to individuals with sight loss.

Dinner Mystery Event

A murder mystery event hosted by Donna Jodhan at the CNIB Toronto office on Bayview Avenue. People of all abilities are invited to come out for an evening of fun and entertainment from 5:45 p.m. to approximately 9 p.m.

My Neuroplastic Adventure Screening

Join CSI, the DOC Institute, Accessible Media Inc. and the team at Chalkboard Media for the first screening of the documentary feature film My Neuroplastic Adventure on Thursday, February 1, 2018 - 7:00pm at CSI Annex. (720 Bathrust St, Toronto, just south of Bloor subway station). This is an accessible film, made with Integrated Descriptive Video (IDV), so it can be enjoyed equally by folks who are blind, partially sighted, or who are sighted.

2018 WCW Experience Expo

A hands-on, interactive exposition as part of the Canadian Council of the Blind's White Cane Week public awareness campaign. Participants can come to the Miles Nadal Jewish Community Centre from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. to meet with over 40 exhibitors.
