AMI to air TSN’s broadcast of the 104th GREY CUP presented by Shaw with live described video

Accessible Media Inc. announced today that it has once again partnered with the CFL and TSN to broadcast the 104th GREY CUP presented by Shaw at BMO Field in Toronto with live description, making the game accessible to Canadians who are blind or partially sighted.

Last year AMI-tv’s broadcast of the Grey Cup reported an average audience of more than 26 thousand viewers during the four and a half hour broadcast with a peak audience of more than 50 thousand viewers at 8 p.m.

“We’re very pleased to be airing the Grey Cup again this year after being so well received in 2015,” explains Brian Perdue, Director of Programming for AMI-tv. “The Grey Cup is a Canadian tradition and we’re proud to provide the blind and partially sighted community with a means to enjoy a live broadcast of the game.”

AMI-tv’s coverage of the 104th GREY CUP presented by Shaw begins Sunday, November 27 at 4 p.m. EST. Veteran broadcasters Rob Simpson, Norma Jean Wick and Randy Urban will deliver all of the game action as well as the half time performance, using the art of live described video to explain any key visual elements of the broadcast for Canadians living with vision loss.
