Submit your community event

If you have a community event in your neighbourhood that you'd like to share with us, please email thisweek@ami.ca. Kindly submit information at least one month prior to the event and be sure to include all pertinent information including date, time, location, web address and a contact name and email/phone number. Wheelchair Curling

You're invited to try Wheelchair Curling on Saturday, October 5, from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Lakeshore Curling Club in Lower Sackville, Nova Scotia. No experience is necessary, but please bring a warm jacket and gloves. Please visit facebook.com/trycurling/ for more information or to RSVP.

VocalEye hosts a Public Art Walk and Talk on Saturday October 5 at 1p.m. This free described tour will meet at the Olympic Village Station, 525 West 2nd Ave., in Vancouver, BC. To register, contact buddies@vocaleye.ca.

An Evening in the Key of B: A Benefit Concert and Reception for BALANCE

BALANCE is a support organization providing customized, specialized services to increase independence and community engagement for persons who are blind or living with sight loss. We have been providing support services in the city of Toronto for over 30 years. This Benefit Concert and Reception was established to raise funds to support our incredible groups. This inaugural concert event will host about 250 guests for a music-filled evening followed by an elegant wine and cheese reception.
