Season two of Mind Set Go returns January 30 to AMI-tv

New year. New mindset. Accessible Media Inc. (AMI) is proud to announce that Season two of Mind Set Go returns Wednesday, January 30, at 8 p.m. Eastern to AMI-tv.

An Anaïd Production in partnership with the Canadian Paralympic Committee, Mind Set Go’s eight episodes feature Integrated Described Video ensuring they are accessible to viewers who are blind or partially sighted.

Season two of Mind Set Go follows eight Canadians as they transform their physical, mental and emotional health over a 90-day journey of body, mind and soul. Lowell and Julie Taylor, former competitors on The Amazing Race Canada, and Canadian Paralympians and athletes—who have used a positive mindset to overcome their own barriers—provide insight, advice and encouragement to participants along the way to a positive mindset.

“We’re excited to have Mind Set Go return to AMI-tv’s schedule,” says John Melville, Vice-President of Programming and Production. “We’re honoured to present these uplifting stories of everyday Canadians and hope they encourage viewers to embrace a new mindset.”

From work-related stress to traumatic accidents, postpartum depression and illness, Season two digs deep into the reasons we use negative coping behaviours and poor lifestyle decisions to overcome pain or obstacles. 

Each one-hour episode begins with a participant’s backstory, unveiling the health scare or traumatic event that served as the catalyst for weight gain. To bookend their journey, each sets a physically demanding goal to illustrate how their lives and attitudes have progressed after three months. Certified health and fitness coaches Lowell and Julie Taylor share their experiences and advice and welcome a Paralympian and athlete to contribute their own inspiring stories with the participants to encourage them along the way.

Season two of Mind Set Go premieres Wednesday, January 30, at 8 p.m. Eastern on AMI-tv. The complete first season of Mind Set Go is available to stream online at AMI.ca or on the AMI-tv App.
