Janice Olynich

Janice Olynich is a certified prosthetist and the owner of PawsAbility in Toronto, where she creates custom orthotics and prosthetics for animals.

Although Janice originally studied Kinesiology and Prosthetics and Orthotics for humans, she always kept a foot in the animal world by working at local veterinary clinics and animal hospitals in her spare time.

When Janice stumbled across a blog post about a Border Collie Rescue needing help with a congenital limb difference, she knew her unique skillset could help. After creating that first dog prosthetic, word spread and eventually lead to the creation of PawsAbility in 2007 and her full-time commitment to animal care in 2011.

Through her passion, innovation and hard work, Janice has adapted her knowledge of human prosthetics and orthotics to help dogs, cats, and even goats have second chances at healthy, happy lives.
