Position Title: Summer Student – AMI-audio – Toronto (ON)

An exciting opportunity awaits one media broadcast student who has a passion to make a difference! AMI-audio department in the Toronto head office has a summer opportunity available. The paid position will be a four-month contract starting in May.

Responsibilities:

1.    Assist the audio production team with preparing internally produced live and pre-recorded programs, and externally pre-recorded programs for broadcast
2.    Assist with writing daily blogs, tweets, and scripts 
3.    Support post-production on original programming – editing dialogue; mixing music, clips, and SFX
4.    Maintain established quality standards of AMI-audio content
5.    Ensure broadcast deadlines are met

Requirements:

•    Enrolled in post secondary media/broadcast or journalism program
•    Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook and Internet
•    Working knowledge of audio editing software e.g. Adobe Audition, Pro Tools
•    Exceptional interpersonal, written/verbal communication and grammatical skills
•    Strong research, planning, creative and organizational skills 
•    Experience working with volunteers or the public would be an asset
•    Experience working in a live radio or television broadcast environment an asset
•    Excellent attention to detail
•    Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset
