Start the day off at 11 a.m. EST with Lloyd Roberston and Liza Fromer as they lend their voices to some of Stephen Leacock’s classic tales. At 12 p.m. EST, radio favourites Fred Kennedy and Mel Mariani from 102.1 The Edge, Mike Stafford from Talk Radio AM640, John Garbutt and Ryan Parker from Great Hits and Real Classics Q107 give voice to Eric Schulman’s humours “A Briefer History of Time”. Celebrity Reader Day has had a steadfast place in AMI-audio’s history, happening at least once a year since AMI’s original inception over 20 years ago. This year, celebrity readers were recorded in the Corus Entertainment and Global News Studios.
“It’s always fun for the celebrities to read something different, that’s why they enjoy it. Broadcast copy is different than reading stories so it can be challenging and I think they like that,” said Joe Lamanna, Manager of Programming for AMII-audio.
