Visit the Apple app store online and download the free AMI app. To submit your official Contest entry (“Entry”), go to Facebook, Instagram or Twitter and post what you love most about the new AMI app. You must also include the Hashtag “#AMIAppContest” or "#ConcoursAppAMI".



The Contest runs from April 30, 2018 to June 15, 2018, inclusive.  Entries must be received by 11:59 p.m. (ET) on the Contest closing date, Friday, June 15, 2018.


The sponsor of the AMI App Contest (the “Contest”) is Accessible Media Inc. (“AMI” or “Sponsor”).

By participating in this Contest, each entrant agrees to be bound by these Official Rules & Regulations (the “Rules”) and by the interpretation of these Rules by the Sponsor.

You must include your name, complete home address, age and daytime phone number or email address where you may be reached during the day.

One Entry per Person:  Entries are limited to one Entry per person, using either your Facebook account, Instagram account or Twitter account or via mail for the duration of the Contest (i.e., you may only use one of these methods to enter the Contest). Anyone found to use multiple Facebook, Instagram or Twitter accounts or multiple mail-in entries to enter the Contest will be ineligible from participating in the Contest.

The name of the person submitting the Contest Entry must be the authorized account holder of the Facebook, Instagram or Twitter account (as applicable) otherwise the Entry may be considered null and void.  In the event of a dispute as to the identity of a winner based on a Facebook, Instagram or Twitter account, the winning entry will be deemed to have been made by the authorized account holder of the Facebook account, Instagram account or Twitter account (as applicable) at the time of entry.  “Authorized account holder” is the natural person who is assigned the email address associated with the applicable social media account by an Internet service provider or other organization responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the email address in question, or the natural person who is assigned the telephone number associated with the applicable social media account by the applicable telephone service provider.

AMI is not responsible for the failure or malfunction of any hardware, software, telecommunication component, computer, online systems or services, or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website relating to online entries and assumes no liability for damage to an entrant’s or any person’s computer or other device resulting from participating in this Contest. You are responsible for any data charges associated with your Entry.


One Grand Prize winner will be selected through a random draw from all eligible entries at 12 noon ET on Monday, June 18, 2018 in Toronto, Ontario.

The selected entrant will be notified via the social media platform (Facebook, Instagram or Twitter) by which they entered the Contest, or via the phone number or email address they provided using the mail-in no purchase necessary option by no later than 5 p.m. ET on Monday, June 18, 2018. To claim the grand prize, selected winner must correctly answer a mathematical skill-testing question and sign and return a declaration of eligibility and a liability/publicity release form (as described below).

Odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received by the Contest closing date.


One Grand Prize of an Apple iPhone X (10) 64 GB mobile digital device will be awarded. Estimated value of the Grand Prize is $1,319 CDN. The Grand Prize has no cash value and must be accepted as awarded and is not convertible to cash. Prize may not be sold, traded or transferred. No substitutions, except at Sponsor’s option.  Sponsor reserves the right in its absolute discretion to substitute a prize or prize component for one of equal or greater retail value for any reason whatsoever. Any portion of the Grand Prize not accepted by the winner will be forfeited.

Should the Grand Prize winner refuse the Grand Prize and/or refuse to abide by the Rules, AMI and its respective advertising and promotional agencies are released from any obligation related to the Grand Prize winner. At AMI’s sole discretion, a new winner may be selected in accordance with these Rules.


The selected winner will be required to sign and return a declaration of eligibility and a liability/publicity release (collectively, the “Contest Documents”), releasing AMI, its advertising and promotional agencies and their respective shareholders, directors, officers, advisors and agents from any damage or loss that may result from entering this Contest or accepting and/or utilizing the Grand Prize. 

Selected winner must return the completed Contest Documents to AMI by Friday, June 22, 2018.

If a selected winner cannot be contacted as set out above, or fails to return the completed Contest Documents to AMI within the specified time, he/she will be disqualified, his/her Grand Prize will be forfeited, and an alternate Grand Prize winner may be selected, in the sole discretion of the Sponsor and time-permitting, in accordance with the selection criteria noted above.  The new selected winner must return the completed Contest Documents to AMI within three (3) days of receipt. 

By entering this Contest, contestants agree to AMI’s use of their photographs, names, and cities of residence, without compensation, for publicity relating to the Contest, whether online (via, AMI’s Facebook, Instagram and Twitter accounts), on radio or on television.


This Contest is open to all residents of Canada who are over the legal age of majority in their province or territory of residence except employees, directors, officers, representatives and agents (and persons with whom they are domiciled, whether related or not) of AMI and its advertising and promotion agencies.

By participating in this Contest, each entrant warrants and represents that his or her Entry:
a) is original to him or her and that the entrant has all necessary rights in and to the Entry used to enter this Contest;
b) does not violate any law, statute, ordinance or regulation;
c) does not contain any reference to any identifiable third parties, unless consent has been obtained from all such individuals and their parent/legal guardian if they are under the age of majority in their jurisdiction of residence;
d) will not give rise to any claims of infringement, invasion of privacy or publicity, or infringe on any rights and/or interests of any third party, or give rise to any claims for payment whatsoever; and
e) is not defamatory, trade libelous, pornographic or obscene, and further that it will not contain, depict, include, discuss or involve, without limitation, any of the following:
• nudity;
• explicit, graphic or excessive sexual activity;
• crude, vulgar or offensive language and/or symbols;
• derogatory characterizations of any ethnic, racial, sexual or religious groups;
• content that endorses, condones or discusses any illegal, inappropriate or risky activity, behavior or conduct;
• personal information of individuals, including, without limitation, names and addresses (physical or email);
• conduct or other activities in violation of these Rules;
• commercial messages, comparisons or solicitations for products or services other than those of Sponsor;
• any identifiable third party products and/or trade-marks or brands;
• any other content that is or could be considered inappropriate, unsuitable or offensive, all as determined by the Sponsor in its sole discretion.

The Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to edit or modify any Entry, or to request an entrant to modify or edit his or her Entry, in order to ensure that the Entry complies with these Rules, or for any other reason.

By entering this Contest and submitting the Entry, each entrant:  (a) grants to the Sponsor, in perpetuity, a worldwide, non-exclusive license to publish, display, reproduce, modify, edit or otherwise use the Entry, in whole or in part, for advertising or promoting the Sponsor or for any other reason; (b) waives all moral rights in and to his or her Entry in favour of the Sponsor (and anyone authorized by the Sponsor to use the Entry); and (c) agrees to release and hold harmless the Sponsor and its agents, employees, directors, successors and assigns (collectively, the “Releasees”) against any and all claims based on publicity rights, defamation, invasion of privacy, copyright infringement, trade-mark infringement or any other intellectual property-related cause of action.  For greater certainty, the Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to modify, edit or remove any Entry, or to request an entrant to modify or edit his or her Entry, if a complaint is received with respect to the Entry, or for any other reason.


This Contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws.  By entering this Contest, participants agree to be bound by these Rules and by the decisions of the Sponsor, which shall be final on all matters relating to this Contest. 

All materials become the property of the Sponsor and none will be returned. 

The Contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook, Instagram or Twitter. You are providing your information to the Sponsor and not to Facebook, Instagram or Twitter. By entering the Contest, you agree to adhere to Facebook’s Statement of Rights and Responsibilities found at , Instagram's Terms of Use found at and Twitter’s Rules found at, as applicable.  You also agree to completely release Facebook, Instagram and Twitter from any and all claims, actions, damages, demands and liabilities of whatever nature or kind arising from your participation in the Contest or related to the awarding and use of any awarded prize. No correspondence will be entered into with entrants, except with the selected winner(s) and individuals requesting a copy of these Rules.

If for any reason the online portion of this Contest is not capable of being completed as planned because of, but not limited to, computer virus, bugs, tampering, technical failures or other causes beyond the control of the Sponsor, Sponsor reserves the right, to cancel, suspend or modify the online portion of the Contest.

AMI and its respective affiliates, advertising and promotional agencies accept no responsibility in any case where their inability to satisfy these Rules arises from any situation which is outside of their control including but not limited to a situation of strike, lock-out or other labour strife in the Sponsor’s workplaces or in the workplaces of any organization or entity whose services are used for running this Contest.

Any attempt to deliberately damage any website or to undermine the legitimate operation of this Contest is a violation of criminal and civil laws, and should such an attempt be made, the Sponsor reserves the right to seek remedies and damages to the fullest extent permitted by law, including criminal prosecution.

Entries are subject to verification and will be declared invalid if they are illegible, mechanically reproduced, mutilated, forged, falsified, altered or tampered with in any way.

Sponsor reserves the right, to terminate or alter the Rules of this Contest at any time without notice for any reason whatsoever.


Any litigation concerning the conduct or administration of this Contest maybe submitted to the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux for a ruling.  Any litigation concerning the awarding of the prize may be submitted to the Régie only for the purpose of helping the parties reach a settlement.
In the event of any discrepancy or inconsistency between the English-language version and the French-language version of the Rules, as applicable, the English version shall prevail, govern and control.
