Helpdesk IT Technician, parental leave cover (2.5 months) - Toronto

The role:

Currently we are recruiting for a contract Helpdesk IT Technician in our Toronto office. The individual who will fill this role has excellent problem-solving skills, thrives on challenge and actively seeks out opportunities to provide solutions. Responsibilities:

1.    Provides level 1 Helpdesk technical support to local and remote clients.
2.    Identifies, troubleshoots and solves computer hardware and or software faults.
3.    Troubleshoots and solves network access issues on LAN, WAN and Wi-Fi network infrastructure.
4.    Manages (creates, modifies, documents, etc.) service request records reflecting the work performed.
5.    Communicates, collaborates and orchestrates with local and remote clients, in person or using an array of communication solutions.

 Requirements:

•    Working knowledge/experience with Microsoft Windows 10
•    Working knowledge/experience with Microsoft Office 365 suite of products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Skype, Teams, etc.)
•    Working knowledge/experience with Apple and/or Android smart devices, including, phones, tablets and operating systems. 
•    Working knowledge/experience with Active Directory.
•    Working knowledge/experience with Laptops, Desktops and Servers from a variety of manufacturers.
•    Experience using any helpdesk ticketing system.
•    Experience using remote support control solutions like “Go To Assist” or “TeamViewer”, or others.
•    Experience with direct client support from a personal, hands-on perspective – good interpersonal skills.
•    Experience supporting Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, AfterFX, PhotoShop, Audition, etc.) is an asset. 
•    Certification in, or experience with applying, COMPTIA+ based support skills in an IT environment is an asset.
